Smashed Pintos

Ingredients
cooking spray
1 (16-ounce) can pinto beans (drained)
1 (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 cup shredded Mexican-blend cheese

Steps
1. Preheat large sauté pan on medium-low 2–3 minutes. Coat pan with cooking spray.
2. Pour beans into pan; mash beans, using potato masher, until a lumpy paste is formed. Stir in chiles and cumin. Cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until thoroughly heated.
3. Top with cheese. Cover and simmer 1–2 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve.
